No fewer than seven suspects were killed on Wednesday in a series of anti-drug raids in a southern Philippine city, police said.
According to Benjamin Magalong, head of the police criminal
investigation group, 35 suspects were also arrested during the
simultaneous raids in Davao City, 960 kilometres south of Manila.
“Police seized 13 firearms, two grenades and nearly 200 grammes of methamphetamine hydrochloride, or ice.
“Those killed and arrested were suspected of being drug dealers, thieves or mercenaries,” Magalong said.
