Bobby Shmurda and Rowdy Rebel appeared in Manhattan Supreme Court today and the judge finally set their trial date for October 5th 2015. During the court hearing the prosecution recommended Rowdy Rebel receive 7 years behind bars and 8 years for Shmurda. Both Shmurda and Rebel’s lawyers seemed to be happy with the recommendation because they were expecting a lot worse.
Shmurda’s lawyer responded with, “I’m surprised by the recommendation,” he said, “Especially as they’ve been dragging these kids up here like they’re Public Enemy No. 1.”
Rowdy’s lawyer told XXL that he felt the recommendation was “reasonable.” “Usually they’re heavy-handed,”
The trial is reportedly going to take up to two months to complete and it is expected to be finalized Thanksgiving, but could be extended into January of next year!
