The boss of North Side Inc took to his Instagram account on Saturday, June 27, 2015 to display the wristwatch known as Hublot Big Bang Tuiga with diamond studs.

Referred to as one of the biggest artiste manager in Nigeria at the moment, Jude made his name, fame and fortune managing his younger brothers to success.

Mathew James, 30, sacrificed himself as a human shield to protect his fiancée and the mother of their two children, Seera Wilson when one of the attackers of the Hotel Riu Imperial Marhaba, a 5-star beach front hotel in Sousse town in Tunisia opened fire outside the Mediterranean resorts Friday, BBC reports.
"He told me, 'I love you babe. But just go, tell our children that their daddy loves them," his fiancee told BBC.
The mother of two, 26, said she had no other choice but to leave him there, not knowing if he'd live or if he'd die. "He was covered in blood from the shots, but he just told me to run away. It was the bravest thing I've ever known. But I just had to leave him under the sunbed because the shooting just kept on coming."she said

She ran to their nearby hotel room, all the while passing a body floating in the resort's swimming pool. Once inside her room she hid inside a cupboard and waited until everywhere was calm again.

By the time the massacre ended at least 37 people were confirmed dead, including the gunman, and another 36 injured.

To her surprise, her Fiance survived after being shot on the chest, in the shoulder and hip. He suffered a heart attack and a shattered pelvis. He is currently in the Intensive care unit of a Tunisian hospital where he is receiving medical attention.
This is not the first time people have sacrificed themselves for loved ones. At the Colorado shooting during a movie premiere in 2012, many people are reported to have acted as body shields to protect their loved ones and many also died in the process.

“If you are the pastor of a church and you invite me to perform the song, Yes I will perform the song again.
“It’s God’s song and whatever is happening now is predetermined, people are talking about God that’s all that matters”.
“From the inception of Godwin, I knew that it wasn’t my song, I knew that anything that’s for God has the potential of growing bigger than you imagine. It’s not quite a gospel song, it’s an inspirational song, what I mean by it’s for God is the fact that it’s dedicated to God. I don’t see it as my song, I see it as people’s song and I see it as a song for God.”

DMX arrested for not paying child support before concert performance (read more)

American rap star, DMX, has been arrested for nonpayment of child support just before getting on stage for his Radio City Music Hall concert Friday night, June 26, 2015.

Multiple reports claimed that law-enforcement arrested the rapper after his ex-wife lodged a complain of his refusal to pay for his children support.

A report on New York Post revealed that DMX’s staff called well-known bail bondsman, Ira Judelson to spring him from jail after the arrest.

Angered fans took to Twitter to condemn his arrest.

'They just locked up dmx outside radio city didn’t even let him perform,' a woman named Alondra tweeted.

'It wasn’t enough that NYPD ruined the Hawks they had to go and lock up DMX right outside a concert where everybody paid to see him,' tweeted Jared Dubin

BREAKING NEWS: APC NWC divided over sanction for Saraki, Dogara

The All Progressives Congress is undecided on how to handle the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki, and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Yakuubu Dogara, for disregarding its directive on the choice of principal officers of the National Assembly.

Saturday PUNCH learnt on Friday that the party’s National Working Committee was undecided on whether or not Saraki and Dogara should be punished.

It was learnt that while some members believed that the party should handle the issue with care; others insisted that the Senate President and the speaker should be punished.

The division among the NWC members had prevented the committee from taking a definite decision on the alleged anti-party activities by the Senate President and the Speaker.

Saraki and Dogara, had on June 9 defied the directive of the party by contesting the senate presidency and the speakership.

The APC leaders were particularly angry because the Peoples Democratic Party got the senate deputy presidency.

Saraki and his loyalists, among the APC senators, had boycotted a peace meeting the party had with its senators on June 9.

The meeting was attended by the rival group, Senate Unity Forum, led by Senator Ahmed Lawan, who was endorsed by the party as its sole candidate for the Senate President.

Saraki emerged as senate president unopposed when the meeting was going on at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.

The Senate President again on Thursday refused to announce the party’s candidates for the upper chamber’s principal positions.

The APC, had in a letter to Saraki on Wednesday, named Lawan as its choice for the Majority Leader; Prof. Sola Adeyeye as the Chief Whip; George Akume as Deputy Majority Leader; and Abu Ibrahim as Deputy Chief Whip.

The party also wrote Dogara and named a former Minority Leader, Femi Gbajabiamila as the Majority Leader; Ado Doguwa as the Deputy House Leader; M.T. Monguno as the Chief Whip and Pally Iriase as the Deputy Chief Whip.

Saraki read letters from zonal caucuses tof the APC on Thursday.

The North-East caucus of the party nominated Senator Ali Ndume as the Majority Leader; while the North-West put forward, Bala Na’Allah as the Deputy Majority Leader.

The South-South caucus adopted Francis Alimikhena as the Deputy Chief.

In the House of Representatives, the refusal of Dogara to read the party’s letter threw the lower chamber into commotion.

The APC, had in a statement on Thursday by its Secretary Mai Mala Buni, insisted on its position and rejected the principal officers announced by Saraki.

Investigations showed that those who advocated a soft approach were of the view that if the issue was not handled with care, the PDP would cash in on the crisis and woo Saraki, Dogara and other APC senators.

But it was learnt that those calling for a punitive measure insisted that the party would set a bad precedent, if Saraki and his group were not punished.

A top member of the party, who confided in Saturday PUNCH, said, “As of now, we have not reached a consensus on what is going on in the National Assembly.

“Some believe that taking a harsh stand will send the affected lawmakers away, while others are saying that they should not go unpunished.”

Another highly placed member of the party, who confided in Saturday PUNCH out of fear of retribution said, the party was keeping its next line of action close to its chest.

“What I can tell you is that the party will meet within the next few days and make its position on all these issues known,” he said.

When contacted. the APC National Publicity Secretary, Alahaji Lai Mohammed said, “No comment.”

But some state chairmen of the APC on Friday expressed sadness over the crisis in the National Assembly.

NEWS: Boko Haram kills 8,239 in two years –Report

The United States State Department has said that Boko Haram killed the most number of people in 2013 and 2014 when compared with other terrorist groups in the world.

The State Department, in a recent report, compiled a list of the world’s deadliest terrorist groups, with the total fatalities that they caused in 2013 and 2014.

The Boko Haram group killed the highest number of people in the period.

The Boko Haram group has killed thousands and displaced millions of Nigerians as a result of its activities in the North-Eastern part of the country.

The report said the Boko Haram group caused about 8,239 deaths in the period; the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant in Iraq killed about 8,038 people. The Taliban group in Afghanistan caused 5,848 deaths.

The Al-Shabaab group in Somalia killed around 1,539 people in the period, while the Maoists/Communist Party of India-Maoist killed 188.

A security expert based in Abuja, Mr. Lanre Tella, said it was high time the Federal Government worked on its plan to crush the insurgent group.

Corrupt people won’t go unpunished Vice President –Osinbajo

The Vice-President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has reiterated the commitment of the present government to ensure that persons found to be corrupt are sanctioned.

Osinbajo described corrupt practices, weak public and private institutions, as well as public policy, as the greatest threats to the stability of the economy.

While speaking at the 3rd Annual Christopher Kolade’s lecture on Business Integrity in Lagos, Osinbajo said that an individual who lacked integrity in life should not be expected to have business integrity.

He, however, noted that integrity should be an acceptable standard for every business leader.

Speaking on the topic, ‘Beyond Compliance: Imbibing a Culture of Business Integrity,’ he added, “The most important thing is to do things right. It is important that what we do comply with the rule of law.

“There is need to ensure that people’s rights are not trampled on. And there is need to ensure that people face the consequence for wrongful actions. That balance is necessary. The administration will ensure that loopholes compliance are plugged and those responsible for creating loopholes will face the consequence.

“The greater good of the company also means the greater good of many people, their lives and families. The question is- how do we respond to the ethical dynamics of poverty and corruption when it concerns our friends, ethnic or religious groups?”

Kolade noted that it is difficult to have integrity in Nigeria as corruption is perceived as the norm.

He said, “We use corruption in our conversations than we talk about integrity. Integrity should feature more in our conversations. Integrity is meant to be natural to human beings.”

BREAKING NEWS : Buhari Dissolves NNPC Board [Read Report]

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the immediate dissolution of the board of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC.
The decision was conveyed in a letter, dated June 26, 2015, signed by the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Danladi Kifasi.
The letter quoted President Buhari as thanking members of the dissolved board for their services to the nation.
The NNPC is the state-run oil company which oversees Nigeria’s oil and gas industry. It’s board is statutorily headed by the minister of petroleum resources.
The corporation regulates the oil and gas sector, and also operate as a joint venture partner representing the government in deals with oil multinationals.
The NNPC has in recent years been accused of large scale corruption, the latest being the alleged disappearance of $20 billion oil money.
An independent audit ordered by the Nigerian government in 2014 concluded that the corporation has an outstanding $1.48 billion it should pay to the government.
The NNPC has yet to make the payment several months after the release of the audit report.

ENTERTAINMENT: Rapper Tyga Gets In Fight With Club Owner

Tyga and his entourage got in to a fight with a Swiss club owner with Kylie Jenner by his side. According to reports, the rapper was suppose to perform an hour set at Envogue Geneva in Switzerland, the rapper showed up really late and only played for about 10 minutes.
