Soldier Strips Female Workers Naked For Stealing (Photos)

According to reports, a Republic of Benin soldier named Corporal Chabi Séni stripped five girls Unclad and tied them to a tree after accusing them of stealing from their madam who owns a bar and who is his wife.
The soldier decided their punishment would be to parade them Unclad and have someone take photos of the girls while the bar manager is seen kneeling in the background.
I had to crop the girl’s Unclad bodies out of the pics but I will include his face.
Is there any way this man can get arrested for this?
That is the soldier with the manager kneeling.
As you can see, he’s looking at the Unclad girls. What a hopeless man.

Lekki robbery suspect sues police for N1m

One of the four suspects paraded by the police in connection with the March 12, 2015 robbery of the Lekki branch of First City Monument Bank, Ebi Tosan, has sued the police, seeking damages in the sum of N1m.
The twenty-year-old, who was arrested on April 5, 2015, claimed that it was unlawful for the police to continue to keep him in detention without admitting him to bail.
Tosan, who was paraded by the police along with three others  – Duke Odogbo, 38; Lawrence Kingsley, 31; and Ekelemo Kuete, 30 – is therefore seeking a court order directing the police to immediately release him on bail.
The suspect’s lawyer, Chief S.W. Baidi, argued that his client’s continued detention without bail was an “infringement and curtailment of the applicant’s constitutional right to personal liberty, freedom of movement and presumption of innocence.”
He is seeking a declaration that his arrest, torture and continued detention by the State Anti-Robbery Squad, Ikeja, without bail, was a violation of his human rights, preserved by sections 34(1)(a), 35(1)(4) and Section 41 of the 1999 constitution.

In a 26-paragraph affidavit filed in support of the originating summons, one Tamuno Amos, who addressed himself as the suspect’s uncle, said he believed that his nephew’s continued detention by the police was a deliberate act by the police to “extract a confessional statement from him on the alleged offence.”
Amos, who said he had not been allowed to see his nephew since his arrest, claimed that “the applicant is suffering on daily basis without access to food, bath and other conveniences and he may die in custody unless granted bail.” The suspect had, on July 9, secured an order of Justice Lateefa Okunnu of a Lagos State High Court in Ikeja, directing the police to produce him in court on July 16.
On Thursday, however, when the matter came up, the police did not bring the suspect to court and his originating summons slated for hearing could not be heard.
Okunnu, while adjourning hearing of the application till October 22, however ordered that the Lagos State Attorney General should be joined as a respondent. She added that if there was any urgency, the applicant could appear before October 22 before another judge who will be sitting during the court’s annual vacation, which begins next week.
The original respondents in the suit are the Lagos State Commissioner of Police and the Officer-in-Charge of SARS, Ikeja, SP Abba Kyari.
In the said robbery on Admiralty Way, Lekki, Lagos, a gang of armed robbers, which Tosan and others allegedly belonged to, reportedly stormed FCMB in the afternoon of March 12, wearing military uniform and engaged the police in a gun battle before carting away about N15m from the bank.
About five persons, including three policemen and a fish hawker, were reportedly killed while several others sustained injuries during the non-stop shooting said to have lasted about 30 minutes.

Governor of the Far North,  Midjiyawa Bakari, said, “I took this measure because of the security situation prevailing in the region.”

Nigeria’ll support use of nuclear technology -Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari
President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday said Nigeria under his leadership would continue to support the use of nuclear technology for peaceful purposes and human development only.
A statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, quoted the President as speaking during a meeting with visiting Iranian Vice President for Executive Affairs, Mohammed Shariatmadari, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The President was said to have told his guest that Nigeria welcomes this week’s agreement between Iran and the six world powers on its nuclear programme.
Buhari described the agreement as a major step towards ensuring peace and stability in the Middle East.

The statement added, “The President said that as a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, Nigeria looks forward to the faithful implementation of the terms of the agreement by all concerned parties.
“President Buhari, who received an invitation from the Iranian Vice President to attend an upcoming Summit of Gas Exporting Countries in Tehran, remarked that it was in the interest of developing countries to maximize the use of their natural resources for the improvement of the living conditions of their people.”
Shariatmadari congratulated Buhari on his election and assured him of Iran’s support in the fight against terrorism and violent extremism.
“The government of President Hassan Rouhani of Iran advocates moderation and departure from any form of extremism,” he said.

FG unveils Pain Free Hospital Initiatives

The Federal Ministry of Health and the American Cancer Society have unveiled the Pain-Free Hospital Initiative in four pilot federal tertiary health facilities.
The Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Mr Linus Awute, who launched the project in Abuja on Thursday, said the project would improve access to essential pain medicines in Nigeria.
Awute said the initiative was a one-year hospital-wide quality improvement intervention to integrate pain treatment into service delivery by providing education for patients and staff, raising motivation, awareness and documenting pain levels.
“It will equip staff to assess pain and provide high quality first line treatment,” Awute said.
He said the initiative targets large national referral and teaching hospitals to provide simple accessible training for physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other health care providers.
According to him, the four hospitals selected for the pilot projects are University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, University College Ibadan, University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital Enugu and the National Hospital Abuja.
“It is envisioned that the one-year pilot project will further refine the design of the project model for effective replication in other federal tertiary health facilities across the country,” he said.
Awute said in 2012, no fewer than 177, 000 people were estimated to have died in moderate or severe pains from HIV or cancer.
“In the same year, the utilisation of narcotic medicines such as morphine was enough to treat 266 people, representing 0.2 per cent coverage in pain treatment need.
“In response to this challenge, the ministry approved the collaboration with the American Cancer Society’s Treat the Pain Programme to improve access to essential pain medicine,” said Awute.
The permanent Secretary said morphine was now on the essential medicine list, adding that 19.2Kg of pulverized morphine was imported to treat 3000 patients in Nigeria.
He said the American Cancer Society ‘Treat the Pain’ would provide technical support to the ministry in this regards.
In her address, the Director Food and Drug in the ministry, Dr Vera Ogbechi, said the need for the morphine-equivalent analgesics in Nigeria was 1,122Kg.
She said this was based on the annual deaths from HIV and Cancer and not including pain from other causes.
Ogbechi said the collaboration would address challenges of availability of the drugs, insufficient clinical training, and poor access to health care.

72-year-old activist, mechanic arraigned for kidnapping judge

Bayelsa CP Okpara; some policemen on duty
A 72-year-old veteran journalist and rights activist, Pa Ahmed Adoke, and 41-year-old mechanic, Mr. John Sule, were on Wednesday arraigned by the Kogi State Police Command for allegedly kidnapping a state High Court judge, Justice Samuel Obayomi.
Adoke, who is said to be related to the immediate past Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Mr. Mohammed Adoke, and Sule   were arraigned before the Lokoja Chief Magistrate’s Court II presided over by Mr. Alhassan Husaini. They were alleged to have on May 25, along with others now at large, conspired, armed themselves with offensive weapons and kidnapped the judge.
Obayomi, a resident High Court Judge of Ebogogo in the Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi State, was abducted by three gunmen, all reportedly dressed in black on May 25. The victim was released after 34 days in the kidnappers’ den.

During the kidnap, the judge’s police orderly, Mr. Usman Musa, was shot dead while the kidnappers drove away the judge in his Toyota Yaris car and later demanded N150m as ransom for the victim’s release.
According to the Police First Information Report made available to journalists in Lokoja, the accused persons wielding AK-47 rifles and locally made pistols disguised themselves and waylaid the judge on Ebogogo road, close to the court premises.
The FIR, which was read by the Prosecuting Police Officer, Mr. C.S. Ayabatu, said that the gang instantly shot   Musa, who died on the spot.
They allegedly took the judge to an unknown destination only to release him after allegedly collecting a ransom.
The FIR added that the accused were arrested on June 6, by a team of Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad from Abuja and brought to the state Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Lokoja.
According to Ayabatu, the two accused persons all from Okene in Okene LGA of Kogi State, were charged with criminal conspiracy, culpable homicide and kidnapping contrary to sections 97(1) and 221 of the Penal Code Law and Part 1 section 3(a)(i)(ii) of the state Kidnapping, Thuggery and Other Related Offences Prohibition Law 2010.
The accused persons pleaded not guilty to the offences.
Adoke’s counsel, Mr. Muazu Abbas, orally applied that the accused be granted bail.
But, Ayabatu vehemently opposed the bail application, saying the offences were not bailable.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr. Alhassan Husain, in his ruling refused the accused persons bail and ordered that they be remanded at the Federal Prisons, Koton-Karfe.

Redeemed Church curses B’Haram, says insurgency’ll end 2015

RCCG Logo
The Redeemed Christian Church of God has cursed Boko Haram, saying the group will be defeated before the end of the year.
The church’s Head of Media and Public Relations, Pastor Segun Adegbiji, said the church was concerned about the safety of its members and was increasing security measures around its parishes.
Adegbiji spoke on Wednesday at Redemption Camp in Ogun State, during a briefing on the church’s 63rd annual convention.
The convention, which is themed, ‘The All Sufficient God’, will hold from August 3 to 9, 2015.

While fielding questions from journalists on the recent killings of six members of the church by a suicide bomber in Potiskum, Yobe State, Adegbiji said the insurgents had gone beyond their boundary.
He said, “We are passionate about the safety of our members and indeed the safety of citizens of this country. We prayed against Ebola, that it should get out of this country and whether you believe it or not, God answered our prayers and it left. Boko Haram is a monster and it will be defeated this year.
“We are working on the security of our churches. If those people should attempt to do that next time, they will be in serious trouble.”
A member of the church’s traffic committee, Pastor Deji West, said the church’s new auditorium in Shimawa, Ogun State, was the biggest in the world.
He said the 3 kilometres by 3 km arena would take no fewer than 12 million congregants at a time.
He said, “The current structure we have is the biggest auditorium in the world because it will take about 12 million people at a time. In terms of naira and kobo of what it costs, I don’t have the figure right now.”
Responding to the issue of the perennial problem of traffic on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway whenever the church had programmes, the head of the church’s international office, Mrs. Margret Boluwakole, said the church was not to blame.
She said, “Whenever there is traffic on the road, people always blame us. We wish to state that it is the poor state of the road that is causing traffic jam. We don’t hold congress on the road.
“Almost every Friday, there is traffic on that road. There are several portholes on Ojodu Berger and Ibafo ends of the road.
“In fact, we sometimes repair the road at the expense of the church and we don’t collect money from anybody. People should stop blaming the church.”

HAHA!!! Landlords storm police command, report suspected homosexual rapist

Some of the landlords 2
No fewer than 25 landlords from the Temidire, Alagbado area of Lagos State stormed the premises of the Lagos State Police Command, Ikeja, on Wednesday to report a suspected homosexual in the area.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the complainants, who were led by the Baale, Alhaji Najimu Abioye, submitted a petition to the Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, saying that the residents’ lives were in danger as the suspect continually harassed them with thugs.
They alleged that the suspect, identified as Alhaji Tunji, had raped many young men in the area, and usually moved with thugs to collect money from traders and the people building houses in the community.
Speaking with PUNCH Metro, the Baale said the matter had been reported to the police at the Alagbado division, adding that Tunji continued to “buy his way out, and terrorise us with hoodlums.”
He said the recent activity of the Alhaji was to take possession of people’s lands, boasting that he could not be arrested.
He said, “Tunji is a gay. He has raped several boys in our area. The father of one of the victims is here with us.
“We have reported him to the police at Alagbado, but he went to Area G, Ogba, and lied that we brought hoodlums to his house and burgled it. At that time, he left the area, but resurfaced later to start another round of trouble.
“Now, he is taking over people’s plots of land and selling them. He has thugs who work for him to unleash mayhem. That is why we have run to the police to help us tame him. He is also a gay. The father of one of the victims is here.”
The father of the victim, who did not want his name in print, called his son, Olufemi (pseudonym), on the phone and asked PUNCH Metro to speak with him.
The son, who worked as a plumber, told our correspondent on the phone that he had gone to work on Tunji’s property, when the suspect lured him to a room, and asked him to undress.
He added that he ran out when Tunji attempted to sleep with him.
He said, “About two weeks ago, one of my friends called me that there was work to do at the Alhaji’s house. When I got there, he began to ask me questions.
“On the evening of the third day, I was with him in his living room and he asked me to enter his bedroom, He then asked me to start undressing. Eventually, I ran out of the house.”
Our correspondent gathered that the police had invited the suspect for interrogation.
Speaking with PUNCH Metro on the telephone, Tunji said there was nothing true in the allegations levelled against him.
He added that the Baale had a habit of extorting money from the landlords to realise his selfish ends.
He said, “There is no truth in what they are saying. Who is running after those aged landlords?
“The fact is that the Baale is not even entitled to that position, but he has formed a caucus, and extorted from the landlords.
“He lied to them that he will fight their cause.
“Did you see any land agent that does not have co-workers? I don’t have thugs. I have co-workers. When I visit the landed property under my supervision and some people try to fight us, there is no evil in fighting them back.”
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, said he would get back to our correspondent on the matter.

Buhari didn’t make anti-Igbo statement –Presidency

President Muhammadu Buhari
The Presidency, on Wednesday, said there was no truth in a claim by a pirate radio station that President Muhammadu Buhari expressed anti-Igbo sentiments in a recent interview with the BBC Hausa Service.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, in a statement, described the claim as “completely false, malicious and slanderous.”
Shehu said the voice ascribed to Buhari in the recording, repeatedly played by the pirate radio station, was not that of the President.
He added that the claim that the station got the recording from a BBC interview was totally untrue.
He said that no one should be deceived by the pirate radio station’s hate propaganda against the President.
The statement read in part, “President Buhari has not had any interview with the BBC’s Hausa Service since his assumption of office as alleged by the agents of disunity behind the pirate radio station’s inflammatory and divisive broadcast.
“The last interview he had with the BBC Hausa Service, lasting not more than five minutes, was on the day he was declared winner and given his Certificate of Return as the President-elect by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
“Thankfully, the BBC Hausa Service Editor, Mr. Mansor Liman has distanced the BBC from the false interview clip being ascribed by the pirate radio station to President Buhari.
“President Buhari is the President of all Nigerians and will continue to treat all citizens on the basis of fairness, equality and equity.”

EFCC begins probe of Uduaghan administration

Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has commenced an investigation into the administration of Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan.
Investigations on Wednesday revealed that a team of operatives attached to the Economic Governance Unit of the commission was entrusted with the responsibility of looking into the account books of the Delta State Government under Uduaghan.
A reliable source disclosed to our correspondent that some officials of the state government would appear before the commission to answer questions in relation with alleged economic crimes next week.
It was learnt that some former commissioners and principal officers of the state’s seventh House of Assembly would be invited by the commission for interrogation.
The source said that one of the principal officers of the House was at the commission’s headquarters last week.
It was gathered that the team investigating the immediate past Delta State administration had not invited the former governor.
It was gathered that Uduaghan’s invitation would be determined by the outcome of the investigation of the invited officials.
“It is not true that Uduaghan and his aides were quizzed by the commission. Even his aides have not even been quizzed. The commission has invited some of the officials who served under the former governor. Some of them are commissioners and others are principal officers of the House of Assembly.
“Only one of the principal officers (name withheld) has appeared and left. The others are expected next week. The governor was not invited. He can only be invited after the interrogation of the officials involved. For now, he is out of it.”
When our correspondent contacted the Head, Media and Publicity, EFCC, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, to comment on the story, he said he had not been briefed about the said investigation.
Uduaghan had in May denied an allegation by a group which accused him of embezzling over N200bn which was appropriated to the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission.
The group, under the aegis of the Delta Youths for Good Governance and Anti-Corruption and Integrity Forum had alleged that the governor had embezzled the money and was speeding up plans to scrap the commission before leaving office on May 29, 2015.
The leader of the forum, Prince Kpokpogri, alleged that some members of the state seventh House of Assembly connived with the governor to secure N40bn bond.
Speaking through his Communications Manager, Paul Odili, Uduaghan, had, however, said the allegations were false and mischievous.
Odili said, “People are just heaping all kinds of allegations against the person of the governor. How can the governor take such a huge amount of money? It is cheap blackmail because the governor has the interest of Deltans at heart and he cannot do that. That allegation is ridiculous and from an ignorant mind.”
